Summer (October to April)

During the day temperatures in central Namibia can be quite extreme (a dry heat) and can reach an average of 40 degrees Celsius (94 degrees Fahrenheit. However, in the evening it cools down somewhat and temperatures can drop considerably. At the coast the weather will be cooler. Namibia’s rainfall is in this period and usually has thunderstorms followed by rain occurring in the afternoons. Like most interior deserts, Namibia's has a very sunny climate.

Winter (May to September)

Temperatures during the day in central Namibia can be hot and pleasant but the evenings and nights can be cool. The coast is pleasant during this time quite mild.
